Much warmer temperatures on the way

Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

We are already starting warmer this morning than the last few mornings. We have a light Southeast wind with wind chills in the 30s.

TODAY: High near 71, clouds will decrease for a partly sunny afternoon. The wind will increase from the South/Southwest 10-20mph.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy, low near 41.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY: Mostly sunny with highs nearing 80. We will continue to have the West-Southwest wind increasing for a breezy Saturday.

ALL GOOD THINGS MUST END: Temperatures will drop below average again on Sunday with a front moving through the area late Saturday. This will bring a breezy Northeast wind Sunday to make it feel even colder. Cloud cover will also increase with low chances for any precipitation, although a few sprinkles can't be ruled out.

Join us on Good Day until 9AM, Matt will bring you the next update tonight on the News at Nine. Have a great Thursday!
