Codes administration deployment performs clean sweep in Slaton Bean neighborhood

The city's codes administration department is cleaning out neighborhoods one by one.

The department's neighborhood deployment projects perform clean sweeps through neighborhoods looking for violations -- one per month.

This month, spending the day in the Slaton Bean neighborhood looking for violations like junked vehicles, overgrown weeds, trash, and substandard housing and zoning.

It's using the deployments to inform neighbors what constitutes a violation and leaving dumpsters out for residents to get rid of unwanted objects.
