Chamber hosts YEA roundtable with local CEOs

Posted: Updated:

The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce invite local business leaders to share entrepreneurial advice with the Young Entrepreneurs Academy.

CEOs from five local businesses share expert guidance and direction to YEA's 21 entrepreneurs.

The goal of the roundtable is to help students launch and promote their own businesses or non-profit organizations.

"When these kids finish the program, this Young Entrepreneur's Academy, they will be CEOs of their own business, and so this is an opportunity to hear about CEOs that have started their businesses and kind of the highlights, the low lights," Norma Ritz-Johnson said. What these CEOs experiences have been like in terms of... would they do anything differently, what they would do the same and what them to where they are right now."

The Young Entrepreneurs have created business plans and will pitch their ideas to a panel of investors in about a month.
