United Supermarkets donates $500K toward LCU business school

Posted: Updated:

United Supermarkets makes a $500,000 investment to LCU's latest construction project.

On Sept. 28, the school announced their plan to build the Christa Dobbs Center for Business.

Dean Tracy Mack said the donation will help the school finish construction and fund an endowment scholarship for future students.

United will leave a permanent mark on the school in a featured piece of architecture.

"This atrium will be a gathering place for students, again, a place for them to study, meet faculty and visit together," he said. "It will be a great addition to the LCU campus and the LCU School of Business."

The almost 22,000 square foot building is scheduled to open for the 2018 semester.
