BRRR.. It's cold out there! We're mostly cloudy and in the upper 20s to mid 30s across the South Plains this morning.
TODAY: High 42 with mostly cloudy skies and isolated rain/mix/snow showers possible. The best chance for precipitation turning into snow will be this morning when temps are simply cooler, and after sunset this evening. Winds will be up to 15mph out of the NE today. Precipitation will be moving in from eastern New Mexico towards West Texas.
TONIGHT: Low 27, very cold with mostly cloudy skies and isolated snow showers possible. The better chance for accumulations will be to the west of Lubbock, the lower chance is across the Rolling Plains.
TOMORROW: High 44 with mostly cloudy skies early, making way for partly cloudy skies late. We could see a few snow showers in the morning, precipitation chances will go down as the day moves on.
EXTENDED: Thursday we'll start a slow warming trend at 47 that afternoon, sunshine Friday through Monday with highs in the low to mid 60s. Lows will stay cold at around the freezing point.
